Description
All overnight rest areas within the City of Bunbury have a maximum stay limit of 48 hours and require the users to be self contained and obtain a permit. PERMITS are now available ONLINE at visitbunburygeographe.com.au/planyourstay/accommodation/ or can be collected from Bunbury Visitors Centre @ either the Dolphin Discovery Centre, Koombana Drive or, the Bunbury Museum and Heritage Centre, 1 Arthur Street, Bunbury. Please be advised that the Visitor Centre located at Dolphin Discovery Centre will not be opening on Public Holidays for the remainder of 2023.
It is dog friendly.
It is accessible to RVs, caravans and big rigs.
Camping in tents is not permitted. You must be fully self-contained.
This location provides visitors with a beachside stay that is close to the town centre and takes in ocean views.
In Bunbury, the Koombana Discovery Park offers a dump point for a $5 fee. If you need to empty prior to arriving or on departure, free dump points are located at the following towns:
Harvey
Brunswick
Australind
Capel
Busselton
Collie
Maximum of seven (7) vehicles at any one time.
Visitors must meet the definition of fully self-contained to utilise these areas. To be considered fully self-contained your vehicle must be fitted with on-board grey water tank, and facilities such as toilets and sinks. on-board facilities cannot be a separate item. If your vehicle does not meet these criteria, you will need to use established caravan parks. No generator's allowed
Please note, camping in tents or sleeping in cars is not permitted.
