Description

Three Springs has wonderful clear night skies. For a fantastic view, go to the Three Springs Golf Club for a dark sky experience. The Shire Council welcomes visitors to use the area around the club house as a casual observing site. Youre welcome to visit with telescopes and binoculars. Its a perfect place to stargaze with the naked-eye too. Occasionally, local sporting teams use the facility for evening functions and the lights will be on. If this is the case, youre still welcome to use the area around the club house if the light doesnt bother you. If youd prefer a quieter and darker location, less than 1km further east along the road is a big open car park next to Three Springs Cemetery. The carpark is surfaced with loose blue metal which keeps dust to a minimum.
