Wilson Street, Kalgoorlie, Western Australia.
Description
Take a pic and have a sip with Irish Prospector Paddy Hannan, who was credited with the first discovery of gold in Kalgoorlie along with Thomas Flanagan and Daniel Shea.
Located out the front of the Kalgoorlie Town Hall, the statue acts as the perfect spot for a selfie with Paddy, as well as a chance to have a sip of water from the water fountain.
The statue is not the original piece created in honour of Paddy, which was erected in 1929, but has been refurbished and moved inside the town hall.
This statue was erected in 1983 as a more durable replica of the original
