Description

This is sacred land and should only be visited in the company of local people. The official staircase to the moon viewing sight, is located at Town Beach foreshore, you can also see it from the Mangrove Hotel. This natural phenomenon occurs on the days around the full moon. Along the Pilbara and Kimberley Coastline, the full moon rising across the exposed tidal flats creates the impression of a staircase leading to the moon. See the link for full moon dates.
