Description

Tantabiddi Sanctuary Zone Kayak Trail Paddle west north-west for 1.4 kilometres (about 30 mins) from the Tantabiddi Boat Ramp to two black kayak moorings. The maximum site depths are 4 metres and snorkelling at high tide is recommended. Return east south-east to the boat ramp. Safe Kayaking and snorkelling tips - Kayaking and snorkelling experience is required. - Check local weather conditions prior to leaving the shore, and ensure you carry adequate food, water, sun protection and safety equipment (life jacket, flares and a bailer). - Ensure someone knows where you are, your expected time of return, and notify them once you have returned safely. - Ensure you have a secure attachment to tie up to the mooring and have secured your equipment (e.g. paddle) to the Kayak prior to water entry.
