Eighty Mile Beach access
Point of Interest
Description
Extending for 220km, Eighty Mile Beach is the longest uninterrupted beach in Western Australia. Endless stretches of white sand scattered with tropical seashells contrast with the rocky shores, seagrass meadows, tidal creeks and mangrove-lined muddy bays. You can access the park via the 10km unsealed access road to the Eighty Mile Beach Caravan Park. The beach is accessible to four wheel drives.
The beach can have areas of soft sand and mud. Be careful when driving your vehicle and try to stick to the high tide line or above. There have been many vehicle recoveries and losses at the beach.
It is not recommended that you swim in the marine park due to the presence of jellyfish, catfish, sharks and vagrant crocodiles.
