Off Vasse Hwy, Western Australia.

Description

Cambray Pool, or Cambray Siding is located on St John Brook, a tributary of the Blackwood River, some 2½ hours drive southwes of Perth. It has a long tradition of nude use that originated when it was the venue for an 'alternative' festival in the 1980's. The pools were developed to service the steam trains that ran on the rail line until 1984. A small town was developed but nothing remains now. The Department of Conservation have been working to restore the site to it's natural state. 4WD is not required to access this site but the main access road off the Vasse Hwy is a little rough. The site is contained within a conservation park and dogs are not permitted.
