Franklyn Street, Western Australia.

Description

The remains of Bilbarin town tells a story of the development and decline of a town in the wheatbelt.  The town precinct demonstrates a way of life no longer practised. It is significant for the history and the associations with the pioneers of the district. All that remains of the 1920s town of Bilbarin is the Hall, which was constructed later to replace a previous hall. Follow the dirt road around the area and read the information boards on display. Warning: asbestos is in the grounds of the old teachers house where the two chimneys still stand.
