Description

Aboriginal name Wanna Watha. Not eel pool which is 6km s/w. Spring fed water hole. Camping area along the River on the Warrawagine Station, which is a working cattle station. Enjoy swimming and kayaking on the river. Recommended high clearance 4WD and off road camper trailers and tents only. Access is via a rough, unsealed road. There are no facilities. Campers must be self-sufficient. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Area is of significant importance to Aborigional community. Please respect this and think about it's Indigenous history while there. There are no toilet facilities at this site. If you do not have your own toilet, bury human waste at least 100m from tracks and water bodies. Bury toilet paper or bag and dispose of in a bin once you leave the site. Pets are permitted at the owners risk. Baits, traps and shooting take place in the area. Warning, care must be taken, place sits inside a river bed as such prone to flash floods without warning. Check weather and rainfall from inland catchment and water levels rise very quickly. NOTE: Water is dirty in wet seasons from floods.
