Book a guided tour for Gunditjmara country and you will experience a culture that is over 60,000 years old. You will see remnants of a settled lifestyle including circular stone dwellings and the remains of Australia's first and largest freshwater stone aquaculture system.
The ancient volcanic landscape of Tyrendarra was created by the spectacular eruption of Budj Bim (Mount Eccles) around 27,000 years ago. This region is a traditional meeting place and camping area for the Gunditjmara people - the land is part of major Dreaming trails and an important ceremonial site.
No camping or overnight parking.
