Description

Tarwin Lower's Flora and Fauna Reserve is located off Walkerville Road and is home to a wide variety of native plants and animals. The 1.1 kilometre (25-30 min) Manna Gum Loop Track circles the reserve and provides a leisurely walk through native bushland. Several seats are available along the walk, enabling you to relax and enjoy the scenery. Scented Paperbark (Melaleuca squarrosa), Swamp Paperbark (Melaleuca ericifolia), Red-fruit Saw-sedge (Gahnia sieberiana) and Tall Sword-sedge (Gahnia clarkei) are just some of the native plant species that can be found in the reserve's riparian scrub.
