Stratford Arts Trail
Point of InterestDescription
Arts Trail designed by local artists and an initiative of the Shakespeare Festival Committee. The Arts Trail is an unusual mix of story, song, history and large scale sculpture depicting various images associated with Shakespeare and scattered around the town.
Given that Stratford is the location of a ford across the Avon River, and the Avon River runs through Stratford in England, it is accepted that the name Stratford was simply borrowed from the famous Shakespearian town in Warwickshire. Indeed they hold the 2 week Shakespeare Festival here every year in late April.
