The Aboriginal Shelter tree or Maternity Tree is a River Red Gum estimated to be 700 years old. The girth of the tree is 15 metres and its hollowed out centre was used by the Jajowurrong clan as a Shelter and birthing tree. It is classified by the National Trust of Victoria.
