Description

This very large bush camping area continues for approx. 2km alongside the King River and has two main open areas North & South with their own entrances/exits to the road. There are several fire pits and two pit toilets, one at each end of the camp.These shady campsites are popular with groups as there is plenty of room. There are also some riverside camping areas along the narrow road connecting the North and South camping areas. The crystal clear waters of the King River offer great fishing & swimming. Camping is free. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. The last weekend in October'24, 25th to 27th, there will be permitted event (motorcycle club camping rally) that will fully occupy the south camp ground. So best to use the northern camp ground during that weekend.
