Suncoast Headlands Track
Point of InterestDescription
The Suncoast Headlands Track is accessed from south of the Blackmans Bay Beach, Pengana Place, Flowerpot Cres and Suncoast Drive.
This is an urban track between the houses and the clifftop, with spectacular views over the mouth of the Derwent and Blackmans Bay from Taroona down to the Iron Pot.
The Council has extended the track into the Dog Exercise Area next to the Treatment Plant. Dogs are permitted to be off leash under verbal control. (greaterhobarttrails.com.au)
The track provides a 3km return trip along the coast and includes the addition of the bush loop at the southern end of the track taking you into thicker bushland with views of the surrounding areas.
