Diamond Island
Point of InterestDescription
Diamond Island is sometimes connected to the mainland by a sand spit. It is a nature reserve - access the island via the sand bank at low tide but be sure to check the tide times first as you have to get back on the same tide. Access via Gordon St carpark unless staying at resort.
Enjoy the beautiful photo opportunity from Redbill Beach.
Diamond Island is a low granite island, with an area of 6.76 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of the Schouten Island Group, lying close to the eastern coast of Tasmania near the Freycinet Peninsula, just off the town of Bicheno.
