The Bass Strait Maritime Centre is Devonport's own local history and maritime museum. Our mission is to be a source of knowledge, ideas, stories and memories. The Bass Strait Maritime Centres collection is a repository developed as a resource to inspire and educate the community and visitors. A key focus of the collection is to contribute to the interpretation and preservation of the history and maritime heritage of the Devonport region and its connection with the Bass Strait. There are permanent and temporary exhibition spaces, a cafe, and a simulator experience where you can navigate a steamship in and out of the port of Devonport!
Open every day except Good Friday and Christmas Day:
10am-3pm on Weekdays. 10am-3pm on Weekends and Public Holidays.
$10 Adults, $8 Concessions, $5 Children (4-12 years old). $25 family ticket. $2 Simulator Pass.
