Mt. Field National Park offers a variety of walks in Tasmania's oldest national park. It's most famous for Russell Falls and the Tall Trees. This tour explores the various walks and regions of this diverse area, which is about a 1.5 hours from Hobart.
The Three Falls Circuit takes you to iconic Russell Falls, where water falls over the rock in three perfect tiers. It's an easy and enjoyable walk along a beautiful forest track among mixed forest and temperate rainforest species to reach Horseshoe Falls, a majestic waterfall snuggled in the forest, which some regard as even more impressive than Russell Falls!
Next up is Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary where you'll meet all kinds of native wildlife. Learn about Tasmania's rare and precious fauna during an informative wildlife tour conducted by the expert staff at Bonorong.
Our final stop is the summit of kunyani/Mount Wellington, standing proud behind Hobart at 1271 metres above sea level. If your eyes aren't watering from the icy air, they will be from the sweeping views. See the entire city, surrounding mountains and Derwent river system sparkling at your feet. This is a fantastic way to wrap up a day exploring many of Tassie's most unique and noteworthy experiences, rainforests, waterfalls, wildlife, and fabulous scenery.
