The Lea Scout Camp
CampgroundDescription
CAMP CLOSED 1ST APRIL 2024- GATES LOCKED
RE-OPENS 1ST OF DECEMBER 2024
We do not take bookings so recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment.
Close to the city and in set in a peaceful bush setting, this paid campground offers flushing toilets, hot showers, drinking water and power hookups. You are welcome to fill up your water tanks but we do not have permanent water hookups.
Just 15 minutes from Hobart, these bush campsites are caravan, campervan, motorhome and tent friendly.
A limited number of powered sites, as well as plenty of unpowered sites are available. There are washing machines 4 x $1 coin (no dryer so bring a washing line) and a camp kitchen featuring a wood-fired pizza oven. Waste Dump point 5 minutes away in Kingston.
Unfortunately due to a change in circumstances we can no longer permit individual campfires.
The Lea Scouts property is 173.7ha (340 acres) and is a designated Conservation Area under the National Parks & Wildlife Act 1970, so dogs are not permitted.
Access up very steep bitumen hill road - take it slow, site's uneven.
Payment by card only.
Powered: $35 for 2 ppl, $15 per additional adult, $5 per additional child (<18)
Unpowered: $15pp. Family $20 for 2 adults + $5 per child (<18)
