Description

Outside the national park boundaries, camping is available in the stunning surroundings of The Neck Reserve. This is a sheltered area behind sand dunes at the south of the isthmus, and provides easy access to the beach. Camping fees apply. No bookings are taken. Campgrounds are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Self-registration deposit boxes are situated at the campground so please bring cash to pay the appropriate fees. A pay display kiosk is located at Jetty Beach for card payments. Facilities include toilets and non-treated tank water (seasonal only). This campground has no rubbish collection so please take your rubbish with you. Follow the main road from the ferry terminal towards South Bruny, and turn left into the signposted camping area which is around 3 km past the lookout at The Neck. Where possible, please avoid driving in the reserve at night. You are sharing the roads with our native wildlife, so take it slow and watch out for animals on the road.
