Description

Come and experience the Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area (APCA), this campground is suitable for camper trailers, motorhomes, caravans, big rigs and tents. Toilet facilities and cubicles suitable for hanging solar showers are available. Ground water is available for washing, visitors are advised to bring sufficient water for drinking and cooking or see Parks and Wildlife staff for other options. This area is located 400m north of Arthur River Parks & Wildlife Office and 700m north of the river. Please note Off Road Motorbikes and All Terrain Vehicles are not permitted to be driven/ridden in this campground. Fees apply for camping, Eftpos and cash payments can be made at the Parks & Wildlife Office between 9am - 4pm. Cash only registration facilities are available after hours at the 24hr Information Booth at the entrance of Parks & Wildlife Office. Bookings are not required, there are over 70 sites approximately 9m x 9m. Not all sites are suitable for bigger vans, maps of the campground are available at 24hr information booth. During the colder months sections of this campground may be closed for more details contact Office (03) 6457 1225. Campfires are permitted except for periods of Total Fire Bans or during Campfire Restriction periods. Fires must be elevated off the ground in your own fire pot and Do Not leave fires unattended, extinguish fires completely before leaving. You will need to provide your own firewood, all vegetation dead or alive is habitat and not to be collected from the campgrounds or bush in Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area. Dogs are permitted, provided they do not disturb other campers and are always controlled by the owners. Areas in APCA where dogs are not permitted include State Reserves Sundown Point/laraturunawn and West Point/nungu. Take your rubbish out with you and follow Leave No Trace principles.
