Description

Located in the South Bruny National Park, at the far end of Cloudy Bay, the Cloudy Corner site is only accessible to 4WD vehicles and requires a 3 km drive along the beach at low tide. You can launch boats from the beach here. Please note that the beach is for boat launch and retrieval only, vehicles are not to be parked on the beach. No bookings are taken. Campgrounds are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Self-registration deposit boxes are situated at each campground so please bring cash to pay the appropriate fees. A pay display kiosk is located at Jetty Beach for card payments. Pit toilets and non-treated tank water (seasonal only) are available. You will need to bring your own water, and your own or use a fuel stove. There are no designated fire places, it is preferred campers bring your own above ground, contained fire pit. Bring your own pre-cut firewood, collection of firewood is not permitted within Reserve Land. Please check fire restrictions while planning your camping trip. Campgrounds have no rubbish collection so please take your rubbish with you. Pets are not permitted. Bruny Island lies just off the south-east coast of Tasmania, and a short journey by vehicle and passenger ferry from Kettering is required to access the island. The ferry departs regularly throughout the day, and there is currently no requirement to book in advance, but you should allow plenty of additional time during peak periods such as Easter. The 15-minute ferry ride lands on Bruny Island at Roberts Point. From there, travel by road (sealed and unsealed) to the southern part of the island.
