Contact

Beacon 19 Boat Ramp Road, Goolwa South, South Australia.

Description

The barrage controls the water level between the sea and the Murray River. Australian fur seals and numerous bird varieties gather in the area. It's easy to spot the birds and the seals if you walk out to the middle of the barrage where the loc is. The seals congregate there. It's fascinating watching them. Locals advised the seals are nearly always there. So good luck. This free day use area offers toilets, nice scenery, wildlife viewing and walking tracks. Dogs are not permitted. No camping or overnight parking allowed.
