Description

Greenrise Recreational Reserve comprises a 14.5ha dry lake surrounded by picturesque Red Gums, an ideal spot for a picnic or BBQ. Overnight stays by self-contained vehicles are permitted, donations near enterance. You may stay up to 48 hours. Self-contained vehicles are defined as having a holding capacity for fresh, grey and black water as well as storage capacity for garbage waste (e.g. they have an on-board shower, fresh water tank, toilet and a garbage container) A public toilet is located 300m away at the day use area. Also on site is the Greenrise Arboretum Trail, which has 6000 trees, 1200 metres of pathways and showcases 110 species of trees. It links up to the Adam Lindsay Gordon walk which takes you around the dry lake, past the Penola Cemetery and back to the RV Site.
