The Undara Lava Tubes were created about 190,000 years ago when a staggering 23 cubic kilometres of lava flowed into a river bed and kept flowing for 160km, making it the worlds longest lava flow from a single volcano. The Undara Lava Tubes are a delicate ecosystem that deserve our respect. To protect this environment, the National Park Management Plan prescribes all tours of the park are guided. Undara Experience offers a range of different tours on the park, all hosted by trained Savannah Guides. Each tour has been designed to provide the very best experience for our guests.
