The first town dam was built 1884 to provide water for the Loudoun Mill. It has been washed away several times with the present wall built in 1943. The original dam wall was built using wood. Remnants of the original wall can still be seen.
Awesome place for bird life, the campground is very close.
Picnic table, good spot to stop on day trip.
