Mt Allan Fire Tower
Point of InterestDescription
Mount Allan Fire Tower is permanently closed due to structural instability. Walking trails to it remain open.
The 9.6m Mount Allan Fire Tower was built in 1954 and is the second oldest in Queensland. It is an example of fire tower evolution, featuring design elements of the 1930s, 1950s and 1990s. The tower was restored in 2008 - larger concrete footings and steel bracing were added.
No camping allowed.
