Bushwalking can be enjoyed at Mount Woowoonga but it is a challenging landscape and is only recommended for the fit and experienced hiker.
Summit of Mount Woowoonga
Distance: 3.6 km return
Time: Allow 4 hours walking time
Start your walk near the picnic area and ensure you remain on the track at all times.
A high level of fitness is required to walk the final section to the summit as it is a steep and strenuous climb suitable for experienced bushwalkers only.
From the summit look east across the Seaview Range to Maryborough and, on a clear day, Fraser Island. Biggenden can be seen to the south-west and Childers to the north-east. The massive granite outcrop of Mount Walsh is visible as you descend.
Domestic animals are not permitted in Woowoonga National Park.
There are no facilities along this track.
