The Mackay Region Botanic Gardens showcases the flora of Central Queensland Bioregion. Within the 51 hectare site, you can meander along the banks of the Lagoons, once the main channel of the Pioneer River. Specialised gardens include South Sea Islands, Aboriginal culture and bush tucker displays, Torres Strait Islands, Japanese and Maltese inspired landscapes. There is a cafe, gallery and toilets. Parking at the main site, at the Northern end and at the western entrance.
No camping or overnight parking.
