Caravan parking at nearby Info Centre. Waterfront park which is home to over 150 different species of birds. Of the 850 bird species in Australia, more than 300 species have been recorded in the Lockyer Valleys diverse and easily accessible habitats which encompass wetlands, agricultural land, national parks and state forests. Lake Apex and Lake Freeman (153 species have been recorded including Lathams Snipe, Royal and Yellow-billed Spoonbill, Black-fronted and Red-kneed Dotterel, Australasian Dater, Whistling Duck).
