Ferry departs River Heads for Kingfisher Bay on Fraser Island four times per day: 6.45, 9.00, 13.00 and 15.30 Ferry departs River Heads for Wanggoolba Creek twice per day, around high tide. Call ahead for times and booking. Ferry tickets are best booked in advance. You will need to prepurchase Vehicle Access Permits and accommodation separately. The Kingfisher Bay Resort grounds are accessible by 2WD, however The Great Sandy National Park and villages including Eurong Beach Resort are ONLY accessible by high-clearance 4WD vehicles. Office at the barge is open Mon-Sat 06:30-13:00 and 14:00-16:00 Sun closed - (call, or visit the Kingfisher Bay Resort and Ferry Mainland Office 1.2km up the road)
