Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee at a local restaurant, accompanied by delicious cake. Then, stretch your legs with a fully guided rainforest walk. With the knowledge of your guide, discover the lush forests of Tamborine National Park and spot native nocturnal wildlife. Everyone has a low-watt flashlight to light the walkway. At the end of the trail emerges Curtis Falls, a subtropical waterfall and habitat to the stars of the show the ever-fascinating glowworms. While the twinkling lights of these gnat larvae are mesmerising and beautiful, they have a sinister use. The larvae use sticky webs and their bioluminescent glow to lure and catch prey, such as small slugs and snails.
