Eulo Bore
Point of InterestDescription
The Eulo bore was drilled in 1966. At a depth of 233m the water from this bore comes up at 48 degrees centigrade.
The bore was to provide water for the town and is still in use today.
Artesian water is quite good to drink with no treatment other than in some cases a filter to remove silicates. In some cases this water has a slight smell of rotten eggs from the dissolved sulphur dioxide. This generally dissipates if the water is allowed to stand for a while before use.
