Visitor Information Centre includes an extensive historic display, a 17 minute film on the history of the town, and garden display with historic buildings and machines. Also a good selection of brochures and travel information about the region. Hours vary a bit by season but presently 7.30am-5.45 pm Mon. to Thur. and Fri. Sat. & Sun. 9am to 5:00 pm for the Visitor Information Centre. The Heritage Precinct buildings are open similar hours to the Visitor Information Centre. Dogs in arms are permitted in the building, and on a lead in the garden. Only Telstra phone service available. Mobile service in this area is only available directly with Telstra. SIM cards from Aldi, Woolies, Belong etc will not work.
