Explore the highlights of the Gold Coast hinterland and Scenic Rim, and discover the natural beauty of Lamington National Park, O'Reillys and Canungra on this guided experience.
After pick-up from your Gold Coast hotel, take a relaxed drive through the Canungra Valley. Enjoy a brief stop in Canungra with time to grab a coffee (own expense). Light refreshments are offered for morning tea before continuing to the summit of World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, part of the largest continuous, subtropical rainforest anywhere on earth.
Upon arrival at O'Reilly's Rainforest Retreat, your guide will explain O'Reilly's incredible history, including the Stinson plane crash.
Next, join a guided rainforest walk along the boardwalk on the forest floor. You'll also experience a birds-eye view on the treetop walk consisting of nine suspension bridges set 16 metres above the ground. Enjoy the chance to spot unique wildlife and fantastic birdlife.
Then, another memorable wildlife experience awaits once you return to the main lodge, with a wild bird feeding. So grab your camera out and get a shot of the wild King Parrots or Crimson Rosellas feeding from your plate.
The next stop is the Kamarun lookout which provides stunning 300-degree views from the Gold Coast to Brisbane.
Finally, a vineyard visit is a must when you're in the Scenic Rim. O'Reilly's own Canungra Valley Vineyard, set beside a mountain stream, gives you the chance to check out the vineyard, meet Alpacas and enjoy a glass of sparkling wine.
If you get hungry while on tour, lunch options are available for purchase at either O'Reilly's or Canungra Valley Vineyard.
