Enjoy your experience! ----- Experience the best of the Redland Bay Islands on this small-group tour with a carefully designed itinerary! Escape the city and immerse yourself the nature! Your guide will take you around the islands to enjoy the beautiful coastline and scenic views. See a variety of ecological habitats, including tidal mudflats and mangroves, coastal eucalypt forest, melaleuca wetlands and subtropical rainforest. You'll discover bush tucker and see a wide variety of birdlife. Plus, you may even spot turtles, dolphins and even dugongs in the bay and observe the tidal changes. Additionally, you'll learn about the islands' history! See historical artefacts and learn some of the stories of the islands, taking in the islands' quirky houses and gardens along the way. You will also be checking out the local art & craft studios, where you will meet the artists and craftspeople, see some of their unique creations and hear about their inspirations. Each of the islands are different and have their own energy and vibe. On all of them, visitors notice the relaxed feel and slower pace of life, reminiscent of an earlier time. Russell Island is the first stop, where you'll enjoy morning tea, visit art galleries, and walk along Sandy Beach. Then, it's onto Lamb Island for more sightseeing and lunch. The third strop is Macleay Island, to see the Tim O'Shea Wetland, Corroboree Park, Perulpa Island, and other heritage sites. Finally, take a walk around Karragarra Island and visit the community gardens. Transport on the islands is a mix of driving and walking in small sections not more than three kilometres in total. Please wear appropriate clothing and shoes ( no high heels ), a hat and sunscreen.
