This free point of interest offers toilets, nice scenery, 4wd tracks and swimming. Lake Garawongara known as 'Place of Pigeons' to the Butchulla people, is surrounded by beautiful paperbark trees, offering lots of shade to the lake. The shallow waters are warmed by the sun, yet swim far and experience the change in temperature for a refreshing wake up. There are hikes and trails that begin or circle by the lake, providing beautiful and breathtaking changes in scenery. No camping or overnight parking allowed.
