Kholo Botanic Gardens
Day Use AreaDescription
Established in 1988 on an historically significant site, it is today one of the most welcoming and beautiful parks in Ipswich. Featuring almost 40 hectares of stunning grounds, a picturesque church and charming Queenslander style function centre.
Walking tracks and boardwalks meander along creek lines, through sub-tropical rainforest and even down to the banks of the Brisbane River. Extensive lawn areas provide plenty of room to throw a Frisbee or kick a ball, while a nearby soothing waterfall cascades into the still coolness of the lily pond. Giant Kauri
and Hoop Pine trees planted by early settlers tower over the gardens.
Pets are not permitted.
