Hughenden Recreational Lake opened early 2020.
A beautiful, unexpected oasis in the outback. Spend hours of fun by the water swimming, bird watching, fishing or boating.
You can also stretch the legs & walk around the 3.6km path surrounding the lake, or unleash the kids for some fun on the playground.
Catch a spectacular outback sunset or sunrise by the lake - you won't regret it!

Dogs are permitted.
Vehicle access to the lake is via Mowbray and Moran Streets, with path links to the lake leading from Stansfield Street. There is a formal park entry for pedestrians from Mowbray Street.
No camping or overnight parking.
