Cowley Beach (4x4 Access Rd)
Day Use AreaDescription
A 4x4 track runs from the Cowley Beach community to the mouth of the Liverpool Creek.
The first 600 metres of the track is now open, while the rest of the 1.3 kilometre track remains closed due to severe erosion.
The location known as the Mud Ramp is the furthest point users can travel at this particular time. Limited parking is available at this point, as well as an area for a vehicle to turn around.
Track users are being urged to abide by the current partial closure while Council is monitoring both usage and erosion trend to assess track viability which is dependent on current erosion pattern and its future impacts.
CCRC closed the entire track in May due to significant wash outs from recent high tides and heavy winds.
Council would like to emphasise that vehicles are not permitted to drive on beaches across the region and can be issued with a fine if caught.
No camping or overnight parking.
