Camp Kanga is situated 2km from Lake Proserpine, 21km from Proserpine in North Queensland, Australia and is an approximate 45 minute drive from Airlie Beach, Shute Harbour and the Whitsunday Islands. Managed by Lions District 201Q2 with new managers in 2023, Camp Kanga offers endless fun and activities for groups, school camps, community camps, holidaymakers and fishermen. Set on 4.7 hectares of natural bushland that attracts a wide variety of flora and fauna it is also an important habitat of the Proserpine Rock Wallaby. Camp facilities include a large commercial kitchen, BBQ Area, meeting hall, toilets, showers, accommodation rooms with wheelchair access, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, laundry and dump point. Powered sites with water are available and are suitable for tents, camper trailers, caravans, motorhomes and big rigs. Pets are permitted. The new managers are always polite, friendly and helpful. As at 1st Feb 2923 short stay rates remain at $50 for one person in a cabin and $35 ea for 2 ppl in a cabin. Large Group booking rates differ.
