West Branch Camping Area

Located in Carnarvon National Park, West Branch camping area is a semi-open area near the west branch of the Maranoa River. It is located 9km north-east of the QPWS park office.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your campsite.
Camping is unpowered in an open area without separately defined sites. High-clearance 4WD is recommended, high-clearance camper trailers and off-road caravans. It is not accessible to buses.
Facilities include a hybrid toilet, communal fire rings, and water (treat before drinking). Water supplies are limited and should be used for drinking and cooking only. Open fires are permitted in fire rings only, except when fire bans or prohibitions apply. Bring your own clean-milled firewood. Do not bring in or collect bush wood. Fuel stoves recommended.
Generators and pets are not permitted.
NO collecting of firewood. BYO only.
NO drones.
