Spacious shady sites set in the forest beside Water Park Creek in Byfield National Park. There are 10 numbered sites. Site #6 is privately surrounded by trees, other sites are open to the circuit track. There are private walk-in and drive-in camp sites surrounded by natural rainforest, with access to walking and canoeing opportunities along Water Park Creek. Camping fees apply. You must book and pay for your camping permit before you arrive at the camping area.
Facilities include flushing toilets, shared picnic tables, an automatic barbecue and water (treat before drinking).
Open fires are allowed only in fire rings provided at each site (except when fire bans apply). Bring your own clean, milled timber. Fuel stoves are recommended. Mosquitoes can be prolific when in season; mosquito coils/flames should be used with fire safety in mindkeep clear of leaf litter and flammable materials, extinguish when not needed.
Generators may be operated only between 8am and 7pm providing they have a sound rating of 65 decibels (2.0Kva) or less.
Over the road at the day use area is a 1.2km circuit walking track.
Dogs are not permitted.
The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle. It is accessible for tents, trailers, caravans and small motorhomes.
Mobile phone coverage is unreliable.
