Description

NOTE: Only 5 camping groups/ sites, so booking directly with us is a must, please ring, email or send a message via the Virtue Farm Facebook page. To stay here you must have your own toilet and be able to catch and remove all grey water. Unfortunately, the Council regulations do not allow tent and swag campers, so we are vehicle campers only. Virtue Farm is a council approved self-contained recreational vehicle ground. Serenity and exceptional views to K'Gari (Fraser Island) await you. Expect to see amazing colours at sunrise and sunset. Enjoy the many birds and wildlife that call this place home. To preserve the tranquility and energy at this special place, pets and rowdy groups are not suited to this property. Virtue Farm is 10 km from the barge to K'Gari (Fraser Island) and only 10 - 20 minutes drive to Hervey Bay's beautiful beaches, the water park, Urangan Pier, restaurants, shops and cafes. From your chosen campsite you will have great views to K'Gari (Fraser Island) whilst being surrounded by 27 acres of bushland that the owners have reserved for nature. There's the added bonus of a range of fresh produce to be harvested daily at a small extra cost. The camping area is a slightly sloping grassed paddock - you will find some rocks and uneven ground. There is a containers for change collection point and compostable waste is accepted. For campers wanting to spend a few days on K'gari (Fraser Island) or Lady Elliott Island, vehicle and camper storage can be arranged for $12 per night. Families regardless of number of children are $35 per night, couples and singles are $25. A communal camp fire pit is provided and a 15kg bag of long burning timber is only $10. Your own camp fire is allowed only in an off the ground set up with you taking your charcoal to our compost bin.
