ALL BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE VIA THE HIPCAMP WEBSITE Trevethan Creek Getaway is the perfect camping spot to relax and explore. We have hot showers to warm you up, a croc-free creek to cool you down, and we are central to many local attractions. We're only 7km away from Trevethan Falls and a 20-minute drive from Cooktown, the historic Lion's Den, and Archer Point. We are a young, enthusiastic family with kids and farm animals. We aim to learn, grow and build as self-sufficiently as possible and are therefore excited to invite other families and Grey Nomads onto our land so that we can all share ideas and experiences. The campsite is set on a private 3 acres, which is screened off from the rest of the farm by a seasonal creek and native vegetation. We have 500 metres frontage to Trevethan Creek, attracting an incredible array of wildlife. We manage the front 20 acres of our 70-acre block with a fruit orchard, goats, pigs, chickens, and dogs. Though it's still early days, in the future, we plan to have an honesty system fruit and veg stall, allowing you to help yourselves to our organic produce. For your comfort and convenience, the campsite has a composting toilet, hot shower, washing machine, clear bore water, and fresh flowing creek water nearby. Each campsite will be provided with a fire pit and a complementary bag of firewood. Extra bags of firewood can also be bought on-site. The night sky here is breathtakingly spectacular, with no light pollution. We also have no Wi-Fi or phone reception, so kids can get proper screen-free time in nature. Trevethan Creek is a 1-minute walk from the campground, with permanent water and croc-free waterholes. We are pet-friendly as long as your pets are friendly. We have an abundance of wildlife, including kangaroos, reptiles, and birds, so please keep pets restrained.
