Public toilets in adjacent park, no showers, a dump point is located in Biloela, 11km north of Thangool. Thangool is a small rural community on the Burnett Highway (the Country Way). The town hosts two pubs, a service station, Post Office and a convenience store. Thangool is the home of Mt Scoria environmental park and will celebrate 100 years in 2025.
