Description

Camping permits are required and fees apply. Your booking number must be displayed at your camp site. Self-registration is no longer available at any of the campgrounds. School Point camping area was the site of the Euramoo State School before the dam was constructed. The camping area is 1km from Danbulla Road and has a limited number of attractive sites with wonderful views of the dam, pine plantations and landscaped surrounds. There are 11 unpowered sites, each has a tap are are suitable for tents and camper trailers. For camp sites 10 and 11 vehicles cannot be driven onto the site-there is a short walk from the parking area to site. Facilities include flushing toilets, taps and shower room (bring own shower). Open fires are allowed (except when fire bans apply). To get to the camping area turn off Danbulla Road 16km from the western entrance, or 12km from the eastern entrance and follow the road 1km to the camping area. The Tablelands Regional Council has erected signs indicating this road is unsuitable for caravans. The camping area can be reached by conventional vehicle or boat. Generators and dogs are not permitted in camping areas. The maximum length of stay is 21 nights. Buy firewood before entering the park. Mobile phone coverage is not available.
