Sandy Bay on South Molle Island is a good open camping area with a long sandy beach, providing an excellent opportunity for beachcombing. Great for keen bushwalkers, the bay is well connected to the rest of the island by walking tracks
It is located west side of South Molle Island, approximately 5km east-north-east of Shute Harbour. The camping area can be reached by boat (only) at mid to high tides.
The camping area is and unpowered open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 36 people. Suitable for walk-in tent camping. Toilet facilities and picnic tables are available.
Open fires and ash-producing stoves are not permitted on national park islands or intertidal lands adjacent to national park islands. Use gas or fuel stoves for cooking.
Pets and generators are not permitted.
