Description

'River Flats' is a 50-acre parcel of land in the picturesque Kerry Valley just 15 minutes south of Beaudesert. The acre and a half of camp grounds, comprising of only 7 sites, is purched high on the river banks overlooking the Albert River. The balance of the 'River Flats' is used as a working hay farm growing lucerne as well as rotating a variety of winter and summer crops for hay. We are invested in recreating the family atmosphere of some of our favourite places from our own trip around Australia with our 5 girls. A place where friendships are made and you can just recharge your batteries! Some of our favourite things to do that we think you will enjoy too are: ~ Watching the fog lift as the sun stretches over the valley on a winters morning. ~ Spending lazy summer afternoons by the river, wetting a line or paddling in the shallows. ~ Having a picnic under the shade of the Jacaranda while the kids fill its branches. ~ Enjoying the company of like minded people around the communial fire pit next to the Moreton Bay Fig as the sunsets ~ Running under the irrigator on hot summers afternoon. ~ Sending the kids off on a bike ride to find four leaf clovers while we find our sanity.
