CampgroundDescription
Walk-in bush camping in a remote section of Girraween National Park. As the site is not identified by signs or markers, campers need good navigation skills and to practice minimal impact behaviour when using this area. This site is located on the southern side of the management trail near the slashed track junction. Access is via difficult cross country walking.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.
After a challenging day clambering over ridge tops on Girraweens wild side, camp in a eucalypt woodland rich in natural wonders.
Scan the treetops for glossy black cockatoos, powerful owls and superb lyrebirds, known for their impressive mimicry. Look for common wombatsthey prefer to live in Girraween's high altitude areas. Then fall asleep under the stars in your remote eyrie and wake ready for tomorrows challenge.
Maximum group size: 8 people.
